The weather lately has been gorgeous. The sun has been smiling down on London this weekend and as much as I appreciate it, I can't enjoy it nearly as much as I would like to. Why? I'm stuck inside revising for exams. My days revolve around getting up at about 11am, revising all day and through the night until on average 3am, going to sleep and doing the whole thing all over again the next day. I have pretty much turned into a hermit and I don't like it whatsoever.
So when I had to go out and do some quick shopping, I decided to try and liven up my life a bit by opting for some small splashes of colour on my face, which for the most part has been completely bare lately.
Of course going on a quick trip to the shops didn't warrant a time-consuming, experimental eye make up (all that time is better spent revising!), so instead I decided to trade black eyeliner for a bright blue shade, which I paired with a pale pink lipstick. This definitely helped brighten up my day a little bit and is such an easy way to encorporate more colour into your make up if you're fairly new to it.
Lipstick: MAC Pink Nouveau
Eyeliner: Urban Decay 24/7 glide-on eye pencil in Deep End
Tips: if you are not sure whether you suit a lipstick when you apply it normally, try patting it onto the lips instead of smearing it like you usually would. This will give a softer wash of the colour. Sometimes, it is not the lipstick shade itself that does suit us but the texture and application of it. For fuller lips add a frosted gloss colour to the centre of the lips.
Thanks for reading! Xx
